Terms of Service
The rules for using Lost Chapters: accounts, fair play, Gems and virtual items, and our responsibilities.
Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and DevBerri Inc. ("DevBerri", "we"), the maker of Lost Chapters. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
Who can play
Anyone can play offline. You must be 13 or older to create an account, or have a parent's or guardian's consent. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these Terms with you, and you need their permission to buy anything.
Your account
- Keep your password and recovery code private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Give a real email address you control, so you can get back in.
- One person per account. Don't sell, share or transfer accounts.
- Usernames must not impersonate anyone or be offensive.
Fair play and conduct
Don't cheat, use bots or exploits, attack or overload the servers, try to get into other accounts, harass other players, or post anything unlawful, hateful or sexual in names, messages or feedback. Don't make extra accounts to collect new-account rewards: we limit new accounts and starter rewards per device and network, and may remove rewards collected that way. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Gems and virtual items
- Gold, Gems, cards, packs and cosmetics are virtual items. You get a limited, personal, revocable license to use them in the game. You don't own them, and they have no cash value.
- Gems buy cosmetic items, card packs and the Chronicler's Pass (the battle pass). Packs bought with Gems hold the same cards, at the same published odds, as packs anyone can earn free or buy with gold by playing. No single card is ever sold directly, and no card is only for players who pay.
- Gems can be traded for gold in the Store at the rate shown there. The trade is one way: gold can't be traded for Gems, and a trade can't be undone.
- Virtual items can't be exchanged for money, sold, traded or transferred to another account. There is no player-to-player trading in the game.
- We may change, rebalance or retire items and prices as the game evolves.
- Purchases are final: see our Refund Policy.
License to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play Lost Chapters for your own non-commercial fun. The game, its art, cards, story, music and code belong to DevBerri and its licensors. Don't copy, sell, reverse engineer or redistribute them, except where the law allows.
Feedback
If you send ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve the game without paying you or owing you anything.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Privacy & data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, or if we stop running the game. If an account is closed, its virtual items are lost and are not refunded, except where the law requires.
The game is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep Lost Chapters running, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that progress can never be lost. Features can change. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DevBerri is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost virtual items. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll change the date below and, for important changes, ask you to accept the new version in the game. If you keep playing after that, the new Terms apply.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
