Lost Chapters for Parents

Lost Chapters is a free history card game recommended by its developer for ages 7 and up. Players under 13 need parental consent for an online account. Everything that affects winning can be earned by playing. Gems, the premium currency, can be bought with real money; they buy cosmetic items, the season pass and card packs that anyone can also earn free. No card is ever sold directly.

Ages and accounts

• Accounts are for ages 13 and up. Younger players can play offline against the AI, where progress stays in their own browser and nothing is sent to us, or a parent can give consent for an account.
• No account is needed to try the game against the AI.

Spending limits

• Under 13: no real-money purchases at all, unless a parent turns them on in parental controls.
• 13 to 17: a monthly limit of $25 by default, which a parent can lower, raise (up to $100) or set to $0.
• 18 and over: no limit, but players can set their own monthly limit in Settings.

Parental controls

You don't need an account. Your child enters your email address in the game's Settings, and we email you a private link. From that page you can set a monthly spending limit, require your approval for every purchase, block friend requests from strangers, stop strangers from watching their matches, set a play-time reminder and see what was spent this month.

Break reminders

Players under 18 see a gentle reminder after an hour of play.

Privacy

Lost Chapters has no ads and no advertising trackers. We use Google Analytics only when a player taps Accept, and never for players under 13 or in the Steam version (Cookie Policy). Purchases are processed by PayPal; we never see card or bank details. You can ask us to delete your child's account and everything linked to it at any time.
