Battle of Bunker Hill: Garnet Event
The Battle of Bunker Hill was fought on June 17, 1775, near Boston, mostly on Breed's Hill rather than Bunker Hill. The British drove the colonial militia off the hill, but they lost about 1,000 killed or wounded out of roughly 2,400 men engaged, which showed that militia could stand up to trained soldiers.

The real history
After the fighting at Lexington and Concord in April 1775, thousands of New England militiamen gathered around Boston, where the British army was bottled up in the city. Across the Charles River lay the Charlestown peninsula, a hilly landscape of fenced pastures.
Before the battle, colonial soldiers from Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire built an earthen fort, called a redoubt, on Breed's Hill. The battle is named for the neighboring Bunker Hill, but the fort and most of the fighting were on Breed's Hill.
On June 17 British troops under General William Howe crossed over and attacked the position several times. The American Battlefield Trust counts about 2,200 Americans in the fight, and the National Park Service counts about 2,400 British soldiers and Marines. The defenders were eventually forced off the hill, so the British held the ground. A famous order, to wait until you see the whites of their eyes, is credited to Colonel William Prescott, but historians cannot confirm who said it.
The cost was lopsided. The Americans lost about 450 men, while the British lost about 1,050 killed or wounded. The result showed that colonial militia could fight regular troops, and it lifted patriot morale even though the hill was lost. Fifty years later the Marquis de Lafayette laid the cornerstone of a granite monument on Breed's Hill, a 221-foot obelisk finished in 1843.

How the card plays
Battle of Bunker Hill costs 7 crystals and is a Garnet Event. It deals 4 damage to an enemy character, then 2 damage to each enemy character.
The first hit takes out one big threat, and the second hit sweeps the whole board, so the same target takes 6 total if it survives the first blow. It shines against a wide field of small and medium characters, where the 2 damage kills several at once. Like the real battle, it costs a lot for what it does, so line it up with other damage. Andrew Jackson deals 1 damage to each enemy when it enters, so the sweep then hits for 3 in total. Molly Pitcher, Cannoneer adds 1 more damage to a single target, and Siege of Yorktown finishes cheap survivors outright.
